Meet the team

Brian joined Capital One in 1997 and held a variety of finance roles in the US credit card business before moving to the UK in 2005 to take up the position of Chief Financial Officer for Capital One Europe.

Brian became Managing Director of the UK business in April 2009 and launched our vision to make people's lives better in early 2011.

Before joining Capital One, Brian worked in the US commercial banking sector.

Brian has a BA in Communication Studies from Virginia Tech University.

Steve joined Capital One in 1999 from Rolls-Royce plc, where he'd worked in various financial and internal audit positions.

His experience within Capital One includes leading Balance Sheet Management & Financial Planning, and he's also a former Financial Controller.

Steve is a qualified chartered accountant, and also has a degree in Geography from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Victoria joined Capital One in 1997, immediately taking responsibility for setting up the Legal department. Before joining the organisation she worked in the banking division of leading solicitors Wilde Sapte, where she helped to establish the UK branch of Capital One.

Victoria became Chief Operating Officer in 2011. Amongst her responsibilities she is accountable for Operations, Corporate Affairs and Risk Management.

She is also a member of the Board of the UK Cards Association.

Michael joined Capital One from Schroders in 1999, taking up a number of roles in both the US and Canadian card businesses.

He moved to the UK business in 2005 to work in Marketing and Analysis, taking his career a step further the following year when he became Head of Risk Operations. From there he became Chief Operating Office before taking on his latest position, as Chief Marketing Officer, in 2011.

Michael has an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Cambridge University.

Rupert's career began as a trainee solicitor at Allen & Overy, where he went on to work in their banking and finance litigation team for four years.

Rupert joined the Capital One Legal team in 2002, looking after market facing activity, litigation and regulatory work. He was made Head of Legal in 2007 and became Chief Risk Officer in 2011.

Rupert is a qualified solicitor, has a degree in law from the University of Southampton and an MBA from Imperial College Management School.
